The Power and the Story is the title of a year-long project that our Circuit is developing to encourage our churches to engage with the story of the Old Testament and how it points us towards Jesus and gives us a deeper understanding of God's plan for the salvation of all people.
The Circuit Staff Team would like to encourage all of our churches to engage as fully as possible with some of the ideas detailed in our newsletter here

Our three different "The Power and the Story" reading plans are for people to use individually to accompany what they hear from the pulpit and share in discussion groups.
There are three tracks for you to choose from depending on your level of knowledge, or how deeply you want to dive into the Old Testament!
Track 1 is a series of two-week blocks on different characters/themes reading a single chapter a day. Do as few, or as many of the blocks as you like.
Track 2 is an overview of the Old Testament in 40 weeks reading 3 chapters per week. Less per day than Track 1, but over a longer period of time.
Track 3 is the whole of the Old Testament in a year reading between 2 and 4 chapters per day, every day.
