Otley has had strong links to Methodism for centuries.
Our town was a favourite destination of John Wesley as he journeyed across the UK. He writes about preaching in the marketplace on to a crowd that responded enthusiastically and, on another occasion he describes a drunken riot taking place!
Otley remains a vibrant town of contrasts and diversity. It is a busy community with loads going on like festivals, community events and sporting occasions and we love to being part of it.
Our church has been providing a focus for worship, fellowship, spiritual growth and pastoral care since 1875. Today, we are a thriving, dynamic fellowship of people, providing a variety of worship styles and putting ourselves at the service of the community.
Our church buildings are always busy with lots of different activities taking place We have thriving Scout and Guide groups with Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts meeting every week. Our regular coffee mornings on Friday and Saturday provide a valued opportunity to share in fellowship and enjoy delicious cake! During the summer holidays, our hugely popular Holiday Club entertains loads of young people and introduces them to Christian truths in a fun way.
We enjoy a variety of worship styles over the course of the year, including Messy Church and Café Church.
