'Caring for all God's people through faith in Jesus Christ'
Our calling is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ, to live out our discipleship in worship and mission and to offer care and compassion to all God's people, locally and globally, through the power of God's Spirit.
Methodists have been worshipping in Menston since 1744. The first Chapel was built in 1826 followed by the Sunday School in 1830. Our current Chapel was built in 1886 with the addition of a new Sunday School in 1922.
We have undertaken work to improve access to the premises which led to the opening of Cornerstone, our community café, in July 2007. Cornerstone is operated by a team of over 80 volunteers from the Church and the local community and provides a welcoming environment for all.
Our main service is on Sundays at 10.30am and we aim to offer varied styles of worship. Our young people meet for their own activities in the SunClub at 10.30am and join us in church for the latter part of the service. Our choir plays an active part in our services. We have a strong ecumenical link with St John's, the Anglican Church in Menston.
We have many groups and activities catering for all ages which take place during the week, details of which can be found on our website.
