Varied ages were present including seven different family groups and we enjoyed the wonderful White House venue half way up Otley Chevin.
Getting in touch with God in the outdoors is the point of Forest church and we worshipped through songs, prayers, and exploration of the surrounding forest.
We did some bark rubbing, we tried to identify different trees in their Winter state, we made crosses from twigs, we painted leaf animals and made a corporate poster using leaves from the ground. We also added our prayers on leaves to our prayer tree transforming it from a dead looking tree to a living one.
Though it was a colder day, thankfully it didn't rain and we were really glad to have hot drinks including hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream and really enjoyed the yummy home made cakes and cookies.
A big thanks to all who came and all those who helped to organise a wonderful afternoon of fun, food, fellowship and wonder.
We are going to do Forest church again on Saturday 10th June at the same venue at 3.00pm. Hope you can join us next time.
