Tuesday of Holy Week – A jar of perfume

Rev Lesley Taylor

For each of the meditations, there is a Bible passage to take us through Holy Week, followed by a meditation on the passage "in a few words". This will be followed by questions for you to think about. The questions will be the same every day.

Read: Matthew 26: 6-13...slowly...

Supper time
In Bethany
Jesus with friends
A jar unstoppered
Rich and expensive
Sweet perfume
Rises heavenwards
Head anointed
Jesus at the table
Angry disciples
"Why this waste?"
"Why not the poor?"
"But it's beautiful"
"The poor stay"
"I will leave"
"Burial anointed"
Costly spices
A woman's care
Held in memory
